There are concerns about vehicle speeds through the village. There are two Speed Indicator Devices along Cobbs Lane and one along Newcastle Road. There is also a Community Speedwatch scheme where volunteers monitor Cobbs Lane and Pit Lane. The police often deploy the TruCam along Cobbs Lane.
